Deputy grabs bag full of victim’s information as suspect runs off

PRESS RELEASE–On Thursday, November 21 around 1 pm, Medina County Sheriff’s Office Deputies had information about a subject on a motorcycle that was known to be a burglar in the D’Hanis area. While Deputies were patrolling, they observed the motorcycle and a stop was made on Highway 90 East at Hondo Creek, Hondo.
As the Deputy was attempting to make contact with the driver, he started to speed off. The Deputy was able to grab the backpack the subject was wearing as he sped off. The backpack revealed a handgun, jewelry, methamphetamine and a ledger with names and credit card information on numerous victims.
SAPD ROP (Repeat Offender Program) was able to locate the suspect and motorcycle at a hotel on Loop 410. After a short foot pursuit, suspect was apprehended. Medina County Sheriff’s Office took custody of the subject and the motorcycle, without incident.
The subject was arrested on the following charges and remains in Medina County Custody on the following charges:
Evading Arrest Detention w/ Motor Vehicle with a $15,000 Surety Bond.
Fraudulent Use/Possession Credit or Debit Card 10<50 on a $15,000 Surety Bond.
Possession Controlled Substance PG 1 <1G on a $15,000 Surety Bond.
