Davila STATEBOUND

We’d like to congratulate Mason Davila-Junior at Lytle High School for advancing to the State Meet for UIL Academics-Number Sense. The Regional meet was held on April 17th at Davenport High School, and he took 1st out of 44 of the brightest kids I’ve ever met. This is his second year advancing to state, and it probably would’ve been his third since last season was cut short because of the pandemic. We cannot express how deserving he is of these great achievements. Mason is an extremely hard worker and it shows. He not only invests his time in achieving academic excellence, he also plays Varsity Baseball, and is a trumpet player in the Pirate Band-a great role model in our high school community. I’d also like to thank Mr. Joe Lytle, our UIL Academic Coordinator, for always taking care of our competitors and getting us what we need to succeed. It takes a lot of time and effort to make all this happen. The State Meet this year will be held on Saturday, May 1st, so let’s wish Mason and his lucky pencil best of luck!!
