Both Frio County and Atascosa County saw a bump in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases over the past week.
According to information provided on the Atascosa County Emergency Management Office Facebook page, Atascosa County currently has 32 total positive cases, up from 27 on May 18. However, only seven of those cases are active, with 24 patients having already recovered.
Atascosa County has one confirmed death due to COVID-19.
Data provided by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) pegs the number of COVID-19 tests performed in the county at 356.
The DHSH reported that Frio County saw just one additional confirmed case since last week, increasing their total to 35. There are 27 active cases, and eight patients have recovered.
Frio County has performed 228 COVID-19 tests.
