City of Lytle honors coaches and senior Cross Country runners

The City of Lytle honored Coach Hadley Foster and Coach Gilbert Ruiz for their involvement and mentorship of the senior Cross Country runners JoseCarlos Hernandez, Gregorio Alcorta and Kyle Mueller, who all placed at the State meet.

The City of Lytle, Texas, honored Coaches Hadley Foster and Gilbert Ruiz for their involvement and mentorship of three Lytle I.S.D. students, JoseCarlos Hernandez, Gregorio Alcorta and Kyle Mueller, members of the Lytle I.S.D. Cross-Country team. They also honored the Pirate Cross-Country senior runners JoseCarlos Hernandez, Gregorio Alcorta and Kyle Mueller who topped off a great 2020 season with multiple recognitions throughout their Junior High and High School years at Lytle I.S.D.
The Pirate Cross-Country runners JoseCarlos Hernandez, Gregorio Alcorta and Kyle Mueller participated in cross-country for 6 years and finished their last three cross-country seasons at state level, placing third, fourth, and sixth place. As seventh graders they finished fourth in district, accumulated three straight district titles, two straight Region IV titles, and in their sophomore year, they walked away with a third-place overall state ranking.
JoseCarlos Hernandez was recognized as a Regional Qualifier (Top 10 in District), All-Region numerous times (Top 15 in Region) and All-State (Top 15 in State).
Gregorio Alcorta was recognized as Regional Qualifier (Top 10 District) and All-Region (Top 15 in Region).
Kyle Mueller was recognized Regional Qualifer (Top 10 District).
Coaches Hadley Foster and Gilbert Ruiz were recognized for their involvement and mentorship of these three Lytle ISD students.
