Arabians finish District with wins

The Arabians finished their district season with two big wins over Crystal City (48-39) and Pearsall (61-22). It has been a really good regular season for us. The girls have improved a great deal this season and they have done some really good things on both ends of the floor. I think we are in a spot where we are entering the playoffs with a lot of confidence. We will not know all the details of the playoffs until late in the week. We do know that our first playoff game will occur on Monday or Tuesday (2/17 or 2/18) of next week. I also know that the girls are excited and really looking forward to try and make a run in the playoffs. We finished district 6-2 and 24-7 overall.
The girls played well in the Crystal City game. Defensively we did a really good job of slowing down Crystal City and not letting them get out and play fast like they wanted to do. We kept them out of transition and we did a great job of making them shoot tough shots. Offensively, we played well. The girls did a good job of being aggressive and attacking Crystal City with some pick and rolls. We did a great job on the boards as well on both ends of the floor. It was a great effort with kids giving their all to get the W.

The girls came out intense and ready to go. We got up early and the girls did a good job of not letting up during the game. We shot the ball well and we did a great job of sharing the ball throughout the game. We also did a really good job on the boards again this game. We forced a lot of tough shots and did a good job of playing fast and then getting into some offense. It was a great team effort to finish off district play.
