Stiff competition was on display at the Randolph Invitational last Thursday over in San Antonio. The Devine Arabian track team scored 143 points to finish in fourth place overall out of 13 teams. The meet provided the final warm up to this week’s district track meet in Devine on April 3 and 4.
“Our teams performed at a good level and each of them are looking forward to district with the opportunity to advance to Area,” stated Head Coach Lon Cozby. “They have a great understanding of what it will be like to compete against tough competition.”
Highlights for the Arabians included second place finishes by the 4x400m relay team, Jessie Ramirez in Shot Put, and Analea Brooks in Discus while third place achievements were accomplished by the 4x200m relay team and Mari Murillo in the 3200m Run.
