The 8th Grade Gold Colts faced a tough Hondo team last Thursday and left the field with a big 12-6 win.
“Ace Urrea scored 2 touchdowns to lead the colts over Hondo,” Coach Lon Cozby said. “Our offense did a great job moving the ball and managing the clock. It was a close game but blocking was key and Urrea was able to use his teammates’ blocks to find the end zone both times. The kids took pride in being the first teams to battle Hondo and really wanted to start things out right for the varsity.”
The Colts will be on the road tomorrow night against Crystal City and then at home the next two games against Pearsall on October 24th and Poteet on October 31st.
