The 7th Grade Gold Fillys started off the 2020 season this past Thursday with a victory over Uvalde. Both teams were new to playing so serving played a huge role. Jaylynn Hernandez helped lead the team to victory by serving 16 points, including one ace. It was a close game one, with each team exchanging points. Eventually, the Fillys were able to pull ahead and secure the win in two sets at 25-14 and 25-21. The girls listened and followed directions during practice this week and during the game. They got off to a good start tonight. I look for them to continue to improve week to week.
