7th Grade Gold
“The Devine Fillys Gold Team played at Pearsall this past Monday evening. It was a tough night for the Fillys as Pearsall jumped out to an early lead. Pearsall continued to lead and eventually defeated the Fillys 5-11 and 25-17,” said Coach Julie Oropeza.
The Gold Fillys will play in Poteet on September 30th and then at home against Crystal City October 7th.
7th Grade Maroon
“The Devine Fillys Maroon Team visited Pearsall this past week. It was a close back and forth battle the whole way. Devine won the first set 25-22 behind strong serving from Skylar Brown and Katie Rios. Pearsall took set two from the Fillys. But in the third and final set, strong serving from Anna Cale Harrison, Airyanna Rodriguez, and Kourtni Geyer helped the Fillys win a close one 15-13,” said Coach Oropeza.
The Maroon Fillys will head to La Vernia for a tournament this weekend and then face Poteet on September 30th.
