William Russell Haby, age 78, of San Antonio, passed away November 25, 2017 in San Antonio. He was born October 10, 1939 in San Antonio, the oldest of two sons born to Russell Robert Haby and Julia Marie Bendele Haby.
In 1957, he graduated from St. Louis High School. He attended Draughon Business School in San Antonio and also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. William worked as a representative for Professional Business Forms and other printing companies in San Antonio and surrounding areas. On August 7, 1971, he married Janet Louise James at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Benjamin Aubrey James.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Janet Haby of San Antonio; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Paula Haby of Mico; mother-in-law, Louise James of San Antonio; in-laws, Stephan A. and Shereda James of Spicewood; nephews, Stevan (Jenny) James, Stewart (Hunter) James; nieces, Shanan (Dr. Shannon) Marek, Jenni (Roy Lee) Koonce, Shyanne Haby; 11 great-nieces and -nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 30, at 10:00 am at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. A Liturgy of the Word will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Williams’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
