Georganne Terry Hitzfeld, age 77, of Castroville, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 in San Antonio. She was born February 12, 1940 in San Antonio, one of two daughters of George B. and Carolyn Anderson Terry.
In 1958, Georganne graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste.
On August 26, 1960, she married her high school sweetheart, Larry Otto Hitzfeld in San Antonio. Georganne and Larry were blessed with 57 years of marriage.
Survivors include her loving husband, Larry Hitzfeld of Castroville; children and their spouses, Aaron Craig and Betty Hitzfeld of Spring, Anna and Chris King of La Coste, Kelli D. Zak of California, Shelli Dai Connor of San Antonio; sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Duane Spiess of Las Cruces, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Catholic Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78226.
Memorials may be made in Georganne’s memory to St. Ann’s Altar Society at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
