The high school track season got off to a quick start in Pearsall last Thursday afternoon as the Varsity Arabians, Varsity Warhorses, and JV Warhorses all claimed 1st place finishes at the conclusion of the meet. The JV Arabians also had a strong showing finishing in 2nd place overall.
According to Head Track Coach Lynn Cozby he was “amazed to see how good we are early in the season.” Track teams being good at any point of the season, however, should come as a surprise to no one. Coach Cozby’s teams have racked up 19 district championships over the last 23 years with multiple Regional and State qualifiers.
