Warhorse XC team champs in Uvalde; Morin, Ortiz, & House top 10

A fantastic start to the 2021 season for the Warhorse Cross Country team in Uvalde as they brought home the championship plaque. Devine tallied 35 points to claim the top spot with Crystal City as the runner-up and Eagle Pass Winn coming in third.
Isiah Morin led the charge placing third overall with a three-mile 18:41 while fellow senior Christopher Ortiz finished sixth with a 19:14. Junior Jesse House placed in the top ten finishing ninth at 19:41.
Others competing for the champion Warhorses were TJ Mendoza (11th-19:56), Marcus Espinosa (15th-20:43), Taylor Hurst (16th-21:23), Kristofer Aguirre (21:50), and Stephen Culver (22:47).

The Warhorses and Arabians run in Devine Wednesday, August 18 at the golf course. The varsity Warhorses run at 10:30am, just after the varsity Arabians who run at 10:00am and before the JV teams who run at 11:00am.
