Warhorse track runner up at Brush Country Relays; JV 3rd

The Warhorse varsity track team placed runner-up last week at the Brush Country Relays in Pleasanton while the JV team came in third place. The host Eagles won the meet with 218 points and Devine totaled 139 in the varsity division.
The 139 points is an impressive total when the fact considering no first place finishes were achieved by the Warhorses. Scoring that many points without a first place finish speaks volumes on the amount of overall talent on this Devine track team whether it be long distance, sprinting, or any of the field events.
Twelve spots came up with second place medals, nine placed third, and another three came in after the bronze medal winners.
As for the JV, the Sanidad twins swapped first place finishes in the 100m and 200m dashes with Jason winning gold in the 100m and Christopher capturing first place in the 200m. Ismael Torres vaulted to first place with an 8’0” effort in Pole Vault. Second place individual finishers were Chris Sanidad in the 100m and E.J. Gonzalez and Ruger Cote in Shot Put.
