Warhorse golf second place at home tourney

After a frigid week off, the Warhorse golf team hit the links last Tuesday at Devine Golf Course. The Horses placed second overall to Pleasanton by a final 341 to 404 tally. Devine pulled out second place in spite of not having a player crack the top three in individual scoring, which is somewhat unusual.
“We are a solid team, without the true number one player that we have had in the past or that other teams have on their roster,” stated Head Coach PJ Wells. “I like the fact that we compete to the best of our abilities and that we showed improvement even after the week away.”
Brothers Brian (87) and Victor Schaefer (103) along with Wyatt LaFond (103) and Cody Trammell (105) posted the four scoring numbers for Devine. Colin Dishman was the number five player on the silver medal winning squad.
