The Warhorse golf team edged out Poteet 364 to 369 to win its home tournament Tuesday, February 26 at Devine Municipal Golf Course. The Warhorse had four players shoot sub-100 including senior Noah Tumbarello’s 84 that earned him the first place finish.
“I was proud of how the kids handled themselves and competed against a good Poteet team,” stated Head Coach PJ Wells. “Tumbarello, Brandon Flues, Ricky Gollrad, and Brian Schaefer shot respectable scores to keep the Aggies at bay throughout the day. I was happy that Noah won the tournament after having to join in a little late due to the senior panoramic picture being taken that morning.”
