Warhorse Band wraps up camp with fun day

The Mighty Warhorse Band finished off their 4 long weeks of summer camp and 7 hour two -a -day practices with a lot of fun this Thursday morning, August 24 to include a water balloon fight and ice bucket dumps!

The high school band keeps getting bigger, having grown to 130 this year with over 350 expected overall in the band program which includes the 6th grade beginner band, and the 7/8 grade concert and symphonic bands!

The DHS Marching Band has been working hard on their halftime performance and show “Samurai and the Maiden” which will have visuals, lots of marching movement and colors. The color guard presented their beautiful and colorful new uniforms on Thursday at the end of the practice and got a rave review!

Band Directors Jeff Miller, Tom Settles, James Quinterro, Color Guard -Sharie Miller, and Mr. Packer (Percussion) have put in many hours this summer to help the band prepare for the marching season.
