All military personnel and veterans invited to Ciavarra Elementary in Devine
Ciavarra Elementary School would like to invite all active military personnel and veterans to its Veterans Day Program Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in the elementary/intermediate school gym.
Everyone is invited to come take part in this program. Parents/guardians of elementary children received an invitation in the child’s folder.
“This is our opportunity to honor our military and our country,” Mrs. Brenda Gardner, principal, said. “We want our children to know that these men and women are very special and serve our country in a very special way.”
It will be Red, White, and Blue Day at the elementary. Students may wear red, white, and blue to commemorate the occasion.
Students will march from the elementary school to the gym. Parents are invited to join their child’s class for the parade.
“We will sing, have students perform, and recognize our men and women who have served or are serving our country,” Gardner said.
All veterans, military personnel, and their guests will be treated to lunch at our Veterans Day Cookout.
“We would like to thank Brown Chevrolet for making this possible for our service men and women,” Gardner said.
All those planning to attend are asked to sign in at either the elementary or intermediate school office by 9:15 a.m. All visitors to the campus are required to have a valid photo ID.
