Vera Pursley Estep age 90, of Devine, Texas went to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in Lytle, Texas. She was a long-time resident of Devine, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart Glen in the First Baptist Church of Natalia, Texas. They enjoyed a long and fruitful life raising their three children in the First Baptist Church of Devine.
Vera is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Marion Purlsey and Ophelia Henderson Pursley; brothers, Melton Pursley, Cecil Pursley, John Pursley, and Bobby Pursley; sisters, Clara Bartkovik, Myrtle Duderstadt, Verna McMillan, Doris Scoggins, and Elsie Pursley.
Vera is survived by her husband, Glen Dale Estep of 71 years; son, Ronald Lee Estep and wife Kate of Sarasota, FL; daughters, Linda Dale Wells and husband Dub of Devine, Debra Jean Schilling and husband Richard of Kettle Falls, WA; five grandchildren, Jimmy Glen Davis (Kathy), Marcie Wells DeChiara (George), Beth Wells Barber (Brad), Drew Estep, and James Ward Estep (Rachel); seven great-grandchildren, Analyn Estep, Catalina & Natalie DeChiara, Riley and Declan Barber, Tawniel Suarez, and Thomas Southworth; three great-great-grandchildren, Barret, Bradi, and Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 with family receiving friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine. Funeral service was held 10:00 am Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine with interment following in the Evergreen Cemetery.
