The Natalia Varsity Mustang Track and Field team won their second meet of the season last week at Walter Joyce Stadium. Natalia was able to combine for 167 team points which fueled the boys in blue to the 1st place finish out of five schools in attendance.
“I was very pleased with how our teams went to Lytle and competed in very tough competition,” Coach Jason Reynolds said. “Our boys won the team title again and I could not be happier.”
Natalia finished ahead of Karnes City (128), Lytle (114), Cotulla (82) and Dilley (37) to win the event in Atascosa County.
The team of Jacob Jass, Xaviera Vasquez, Ryan Juarez, and Diego Zapata won Gold in the 400 M. Relay with a time of 45.81. Jared Stallworth, Donovan Hawkins, Brad Martin, and Zapata won gold in the 1600 M. Relay with a time of 3:45.71.

JV Mustangs
The Natalia JV Mustangs were able to finish in 4th place out of five in Lytle thanks to 64 team points. Natalia finished ahead of 5th place Dilley-35, but behind meet champion Karnes City-93, 2nd place Cotulla-85 and 3rd place Lytle-75.
The JV Stangs 400 M. Relay team of Adrian Vasquez, Ryan Rizo, Nate Banda, and Felix Iniguez won Gold with a time of 48.11. The 1600 M. Relay team of Coltin Richardson, Enrique DeOsio, Tanner Crone, and Ryan Rizo also won Gold, with a time of 4:01.40.

This coming Thursday, Natalia travels to Frio County to compete in a non-district meet at Gosch Field at 4:00 p.m.
