Two Lady Mustangs nab top accolades in District 26-3A

All nine Natalia Lady Mustang starters made the cut when the 26-3A All-District list was released recently. Two of the four top accolades, two Natalia Lady Mustangs were honored which included sophomore pitcher Daniella Garza and freshman catcher Bivianna Figueroa.
“I was really pleased with the honors received by our players and proud of them for their accomplishments this season,” Natalia Head Coach Travis Crowley said.
The District 26-3A All-District MVP went to Texas A&M Kingsville Bound Bailey Longoria who was the pitchers for the Regional Semi-Final Bound Jourdanton Squaws.
Co-Offensive MVP honors were handed out this season and they went to Natalia sophomore Daniella Garza and Jourdanton Senior lead off-hitter/center-fielder Kristina Ramirez.
There were also Co-Defensive MVP honors handed out and that went to Natalia Freshman Catcher Bivianna Figueroa and Jourdanton Sophomore short-stop Claudia Munoz.
The Newcomer of the Year went to Karnes City Freshman pitcher Tessa Ramirez who led the Lady Badgers to a 3rd place finish in district 26-3A.
A total of five Lady Mustangs were named to the 1st Team All-District list and they included: Junior Pitcher Felicia Guzman, Freshman Short-Stop Bryanna Perez, Junior Center-Fielder JuJu Morales, Freshman Left-Fielder Gabi Sontoya and Senior (2nd baseman) Regina Garza who was named as a Utility Player.
Rounding out the list, were Natalia Freshman 1st baseman Gabby Contreras and Natalia Senior Right-fielder Jasmine Gomez who were named to the 2nd Team All-District list.
