The Medina County Hospital District Appoints New Board Member

Hondo, Texas, August 28, 2023 – The Medina County Hospital District is pleased to announce the appointment of one new board member, Mary E. Mangold. The Medina County Hospital District Board of Directors is composed of seven elected directors. Four directors are elected by the voters in the four county precincts, and three directors are elected at-large. Mary E. Mangold was appointed as Director at Large, Place 5 during the Board of Director’s meeting on Monday, August 28th, 2023.

Mary E. Mangold is a Vice–President at Security State Bank in Castroville, Texas, where she is the Branch Manager and a Loan Officer. Mary has been in banking for 13 years serving the residents of Medina County and surrounding areas. Prior to her career in banking, Mary worked in the title industry for 16 years. She started out at Medina County Abstract, which later became Stewart Title.
In addition to Medina Regional Hospital, Mary’s past and present board service includes Go Medina, Castroville Chamber of Commerce, and the Medina Valley Education Foundation.
Mary holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, which she earned in 1989. She is a 1985 graduate of Hondo High School and a long-time resident of Medina County.
Mary is married to David Mangold and they have been blessed with two children who are married, along with three grandchildren, and one on the way.
