Terry Lane Gore, of Castroville, passed away on January 21, 2020 at the age of 71 years. He was born July 12, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas the only child of Dr. Robert Sherman Gore and Blanche Ruth McKeithen Gore.
In 1967, Terry graduated from Caldwell Parish High School in Columbia, Louisiana. He received a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Science from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana.
Terry was a home builder for over forty years. His company, TL Gore General Contractors, was very successful. Terry had a reputation for being very meticulous with every detail, especially the foundation work and the framing. His satisfied customers were his best advertisement.
Terry married Connie Lynn Lively on September 14, 1971 in Humble, Texas. They were blessed with forty-eight years of marriage, one daughter and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Gore of Castroville; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Brandon Haby of Castroville and grandchildren, Tristan Haby and Madison Haby.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
A college education was very important to Terry. He stressed this numerous times to his grandchildren. To help fulfill Terry’s dream for his grandchildren, a college fund for Tristan and Madison has been established at Castroville State Bank. If friends desire, memorials may be given in Terry’s memory to this college fund or to the charity of your choice.
