Steven “Steve” Kyle Yosko

Steven “Steve” Kyle Yosko, of Bulverde, entered eternal rest on Christmas night, just days after reaching his 55th birthday. Steve was born December 14, 1963 in San Antonio to parents, John Frank Yosko, Jr. and Marilyn Alma Weller Yosko.
In 1982, Steve graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School. For many years he worked in construction, starting as a metal lather for stucco application. Then, from 1991 to 1999, he was the owner and operator of SKY Backhoe Services. In 2000, he was a utility construction superintendent for Southwest Backhoe and Utility Services, a job he held for the next 13 years. Steve built his family’s home in 2000 and spent the last five years making upgrades on the home and doing other projects.
Steve married Jolynn “Jodi” Marie Kruse on September 26, 1987 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes. Steve was Jodi’s “Tall Drink of Water!” He was her knight in denim jeans, cowboy boots and a “gimme” cap! Their marriage was blessed with two sons and one daughter.
His children and family were his world. Steve truly enjoyed attending his children’s activities. He was actively involved as a coach for Ben, Megan and Nik’s baseball, basketball, and football teams. He was president of the Bulverde Little League for many years. He was an amazing son, father and uncle.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Jolynn “Jodi” Yosko of Bulverde; children, Benjamin Joseph Yosko (fiancee’ Eleni) of San Antonio, Megan Yosko of Los Altos, California, Nikolaus Yosko of Bulverde; parents, John Jr. and Marilyn Yosko of San Antonio; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Larry Brown of San Antonio; in-laws, Barbara and Rob Walz, Beverly and John Orsak, all of San Antonio; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.
