Rose Marie Zerr Kent, of Castroville, passed away on November 1, 2019 at her home at the age of 81 years. She was born October 16, 1938 in D’Hanis, Texas to Wilfred Martin Zerr and Elsie Christina Nehr Zerr.
Rose graduated from D’Hanis High School in 1956. Gamble with online casino. She worked civil service at Kelly Air Force Base for twenty-one years and retired in 2001 when the base was closed.
On June 2, 1962, Rose married Frederick Herrington Kent, Jr. at the Kelly Air Force Base Chapel. They were married for fifty-seven years at the time of her death.
Survivors include her husband, Frederick H. Kent, Jr. of Castroville; daughter and son-in-law, Denea and Billy Chase of Castroville; grandchildren, Marshall Chase, Amanda Chase, Garrett Chase, Emily (Jeremy) Yarbrough and Steven (Jill) Chase; great-grandchildren, Ivy Rose Chase, Gabriel Chase, Samuel Chase, Titus Chase-Hopkins, Isabella Chase and “one-on-the-way”; sisters, Shirley M. Click, Dorothy Zerr Pryor, Judy Skiles; sisters-in-law, Imogene Zerr and Ruth Zerr; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosewas preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Elsie Zerr; brothers, Myron Zerr, Larry J. Zerr and Richard Zerr and brothers-in-law, Carlton Click, John Pryor and Clayton Skiles.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 9:00 am at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in D’Hanis, Texas.
