Quisenberry, Busby, Spivey, Pompa, and Tumbarello named to Academic All-State golf team

Four Devine Arabian and one Warhorse golfer earned Academic All-State for their first seven-semester GPA over the course of their high school careers. Preslee Quisenberry was recognized on their 1st Team list while Kayla Busby, Shelby Spivey, Sierra Pompa, and Noah Tumbarello all received Honorable Mention Academic All-State.
To be nominated for the academic honor, students must have a 92 average or above beginning with their first semester their freshman year through the fall semester of their 12th grade school year.
With up to eight golf invitationals a season plus District and Regional tournaments, golfers are out of school up to twelve days to play during the course of a normal season. Although “missing school” is one of the perks of playing golf, catching up on missed classroom instruction and completing in-class assignments and tests requires additional time once the student/athlete returns to school.
Preslee, Kayla, Shelby, Sierra, and Noah made it all look like a breeze however. Congrats ladies and gent on your Academic honor.
