Pirates start 3-0 in scrimmages

The Lytle Pirates have hit the ground running this basketball season. On Saturday the boys beat Seguin, Roma, and Burbank in scrimmages and last night they took on Bandera. This Friday, the Pirates will play in Navarro. On November 16th they will host Stockdale in their first home game.
“I’m fortunate to say that our team is only waiting on one football player for the season. The team has played all year together in summer tournaments so the chemistry is ready to go. We still have a lot of things to fix on the defensive side to have a great season,” said Coach Jacob Hernandez.
Two Pirates will hit major milestones this season. “Senior Matt Sanchez is about 400 points away from 1000 and Junior Jordan Balderaz is about 300 or so away from 1000 career points,” adds Coach Hernandez.
