Phillip Anthony Haywood, age 59 of Devnie, Texas passed away at home on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 36 years Dawn Haywood, three daughters Erica (Terry) Northcut, Randee Ramos, and Shannon (Johnny) Perez. Grandchildren Corbin, Gracie, and Noah Northcut, Jordan and Zander Perez and Zeke Ramos. Phillip is also survived by his two sisters, Sonya (Laura) Haywood, Trina (Darrell) Williams and brother David (Sandy) Haywood with numerous extended family.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents Gene and Patricia Haywood and brothers, Steve Thomas, Wayne Thomas, Barry Haywood and Timothy Haywood.
Phillip worked for Walmart for twenty-two years as a truck driver. He devoted his spare time to fixing friends and neighbors lawn equipment which always kept a smile on his face. He was well known in our community for his generosity. He knew no stranger and had the kindest heart. Phillip was the best husband, father, and papaw and we his family were blessed to have him. He will always be an important part of our lives – alive in our hearts forever.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. Hurley Funeral Home Chapel Devine, Texas with serviceswillconclude at the funeral home.
