Paul Eldridge Jette III was born in Kermit, TX on January 14, 1934, to Leona May Reed and Paul Eldridge Jette Jr. He passed from this life on December 7, 2021, in Boerne TX.
Paul is survived by his wife Mary Tinsley Jette of Boerne, TX; son, Paul Eldridge Jette IIII and wife Vicki Jette; daughters, Nanci Jette Swartzell of Houston, TX and Sara Naomi Jette of Boerne, TX; ten grandchildren: Allison and Aaron Cooke of Austin, TX, Katharyn and Koehler Andermatt of Castroville, TX, Paul Eldridge Jette V (Quinn} of San Antonio, TX, William Wallace and Jessica Jette of Castroville, TX, David Lyne and Jessica Jette of Austin TX, Kevin and Courtney Daude of Pasadena, TX, Joel and Jessica Swartzell of Huntington Beach, CA, Peyton Swartzell of Pasadena, TX, Kolton L. Jones of Welch, OK, and Logan K. Jones of College Station, TX. Paul is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren: Deacon Daude, Jette Swartzell, Emory Grace Cooke, Collins Cooke, Victoria Andermatt, John Eldridge Andermatt, August Andermatt, and Violet Jette; and his brothers, Frances Sheldon Jette of Marble Falls, Jack and Cindy Jette of Portland, TX. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Leona May and Paul Eldridge Jette Jr; his first wife, Ramona Lyne Jette; and his daughter, Donna Lynn Jette.
Paul graduated from Wink High School in 1952. He received a football scholarship to continue his higher education at Southern Methodist University and Eastern New Mexico University. After graduation, Paul became a chemistry teacher and football coach where he touched countless lives. Paul was beloved by his players and coaching staffs from Wink, TX; Devine, TX; Brady, TX and Pleasanton, TX. Paul left coaching in 1987 to be the Special Education Administrator for five school districts in the Pleasanton area before he retired from Education in 2005. Paul was an active member of Rotary International in Pleasanton, TX where he served as the club President and was awarded with a Paul Harris Fellow. After retirement, Paul devoted his time to his family and his love of golf. His last round of golf he shot 2 strokes below his age. Above all, Paul loved his family and wanted to be with them at every opportunity.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Boerne Church of Christ beginning at 10:00 a.m. with visitation and memorial service following at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Paul’s memory to the Michael J.
