Noah Gilkey headed back to STATE XC!

Senior Mustang Cross Country runner Noah Gilkey qualified for a back-to-back State Meet appearance as he placed 4th overall in Monday’s Region 4 Class 3A competition. Gilkey’s 17:36.73 came against a field of 163 runners. Natalia placed 13th of 24 as a team.
Junior Daniel Tristan almost broke the 20-minute mark with a 20:22.35. Tristan placed 78th.
Senior Joseph Gonzalez ran his final race as a Mustang coming in 94th. Gonzalez ran 20:51.90.
Sophomore Logan Chapa ran 21:30.16. Chapa came in at 112th place.
Freshman Denton Nelson ran the course for the first time in his brief career. Nelson placed 138th with a 22:45.6.
Gianni Rios was the last of the Mustang runners to cross the finish line. Rios ran 24:04.13 to place 156th.
