Natalia XC runs in Ingram; Noak Gilkey gets gold

Natalia Cross Country participated in the Ingram Invitational this past Saturday. Mustang Noah Gilkey won gold in the varsity boys division, marking the first time Noah has earned the top spot this season.
According to Head Coach Kim Lane, “There was great competition in Ingram such as San Antonio Cole and Kerrville Tivy. Competing against such schools with talented runners made for an even sweeter first gold!”
Logan and Devin Chapa were two Mustang runners who stood out in addition to Gilkey.
“Brothers Logan and Devin Chapa competed together at Ingram and finished under one minute from each other,” Lane continued. “They have jumped in this season competing against some tough competition, and are proving themselves weekly!”
Coach Lane mentioned Lady Mustang runners Kendall Tanner and Jasmine Riso “competed well in Ingram” and are “improving each meet.” Tanner and Riso finished 34th and 39th respectively with several runners not making the trip due to volleyball.
