Natalia ready to celebrate Homecoming

Natalia ISD will celebrate “There is No Place Like Homecoming 2019” as former Mustangs, Lady Mustangs and Palominos will come together for a week full of fun activities to celebrate their Mustang Pride.
Homecoming 2019 will kick-off today, Wednesday October 9th with a Parade set to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Natalia High School Parking lot. The parade route will go down Kearney Street to Texas 132 and come up Miller Street where it will finish up in the Natalia JH parking lot.
A community pep-rally will then take place around 6:00 p.m. in the high school student parking lot located behind the high school near the band-hall. During this time, the 2019-2020 Homecoming Court will be introduced as well as performances from the NHS Band, NHS and JH Cheerleaders. There’ll be no parking at the high school student lot tomorrow after 4 pm. (To make room for float lineup and pep rally after parade) and it’s a BYO chair pep rally!

Around 6:30 p.m., join Mustang Country with a Tailgate Party where you can kick-up your heels, hang out with family and friends and get ready for the big games on Thursday and Friday night. Guests park in junior high parking lot and walk over to high school student parking lot for pep rally and tailgate fun! There’ll be no parking at the high school student lot tomorrow after 4 pm. (To make room for float lineup and pep rally after parade)
Thursday evening, the NJH Mustangs will battle Stockdale at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. as the JV Mustangs are on the road with a 5:30 p.m. game.
On Friday, pre-game ceremonies will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the Club Organization Representatives. The kick-off of course is at 7:30 p.m. as your Natalia Mustangs (4-1) will battle the Stockdale Brahmas (1-4) in the District 15-3A (Div.I) opener.
The 2019-2020 Homecoming Court Ceremony will be at half-time and the Natalia Mustang band will perform following the football game.
On Saturday, the Natalia Alumni will host a reunion and lunch at the Natalia JH Cafeteria as doors will open around 10:00 a.m. with the lunch expected to begin around noon. According to the Alumni Facebook page, there are “a few tickets available for purchase” left for lunch.
Wrap up Homecoming week by making the short drive to Hondo to support the Band in their Regional Contest. Natalia is scheduled to perform at 2:45 p.m.
It should be a fun week in Natalia, so be sure to come early, wear blue, be loud and cheer on the Mustangs as they look to whip the Brahmas Friday Night at Mustang Stadium!
