Natalia Police Report

09/14-Criminal Mischief – Officer on duty responded to a report of a vehicle which had been parked at the same location for at least a month.
09/14-Wanted Person – Officer on duty observed a subject who had an active felony warrant. The subject was stopped, arrested and taken to Medina County Jail for processing of the subject.


09/15- Information – Officer received a call from dispatch regarding the signature required on an active warrant. Officer on duty drove to Hondo and resolved the matter.
09/15- Suspicious Circumstance – Officer on duty noticed a vehicle parked in the east side of the new Love’s warehouse. The Officer made contact with the subjects who were identified as employee’s of Love’s.
09/16-Civil Matter – Officer on duty responded to a custodial verbal argument regarding limited custody and visitation entitlement from the courts. Upon arrival at the location contact was made with the parents who both made different allegations about how the children are being cared for by each parent. After speaking to both parties it was determined the mother had the legal right to take possession of the kids.
09/16- Assist Citizen – Officer on duty provided assistance by providing a courtesy ride to a local resident of Natalia.
09/16-Suspicious Person – While on routine patrol the Officer on duty noticed a vehicle parked at the First Baptist Church in Natalia. The Officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle who stated he was simply playing Pokemon on his phone. A wants and warrant check was conducted and all was clear. Since no laws were being violated the Officer made a security check of the building and cleared the call.
09/17-AOA – Officer on duty responded to a call by the Devine Police Department who requested assistance in locating an Assault suspect.
09/17-Animal Control – Officer on duty was making routine rounds when he was flagged down by a bystander requesting help for an injured owl stuck in a tree. The Officer made several phone calls in order to determine how to best handle and capture the bird safely. The Owl was captured and contact was made with a rehabber located in Devine who agreed to pick up the bird on 09/18/23 for evaluation and care.
09/18/23- Mental Health Concern – Officer on duty was dispatched to a mental health outcry. Upon arrival at the location the homeowner stated the son- in law had attempted to commit suicide by trying to take a bunch of pills. After he was stopped by the family member the subject departed the area prior to the Officer’s arrival to the residence. The Officer did manage to locate the subject and discovered that the subject had an active parole violation warrant out for his arrest. EMS staff did arrive at the location to offer medical care which the subject refused, therefore, the subject was arrested by the Officer for the warrant. This would also allow the subject to obtain mental health services as required under law for incarcerated individuals.
