The Natalia Mustangs (4-1) will make a rare travel down to the Coastal Bend to take part in the Ingleside Mustang Baseball Tournament. This will be the first ever attendance to this tournament where Natalia will face a few teams for the first time ever.
“We are excited about facing stiff competition this week as we will continue to prepare for our district competition thru challenging non-district contests,” Coach Kasey Crowther said.
Natalia will open the tournament against a red-hot Taft Greyhound (4-0-1) squad that is coming off their home tournament title at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4th in Ingleside. Natalia’s final game of the day will be at 5:00 p.m. vs the home squad Mustangs led by Devine Alumni Rene Muniz. This is believed to be the first meeting between Natalia and Ingleside in baseball.
On Friday, March 5th the Natalia Baseball squad will battle Stockdale (4-1) at 11:00 a.m. in Portland followed by a first ever meeting at 3:00 p.m. vs. 5A Gregory Portland (5-0-1).
