Natalia Band to compete in Region Contest this Saturday at 12:15 pm , captures 1st place at Cotulla and 1st at Hondo last weekend

It was another busy weekend for the Natalia High School Band as they competed in not one, but two marching contests this past Saturday. The band began their day in Cotulla, TX for the Cowboy Round-Up Marching Contest where they received awards for Best Percussion, Best Colorguard, Best Brass, and Best Woodwinds. To top it off, the band placed 1st overall in the 3A band category.
After this contest, the band traveled to Hondo, TX for the God’s Country Marching Contest. The band put on another high energy performance earning them Best Colorguard, Best Drum Majors, Best Music, Best Marching, and 1st place overall.
The past three weeks of marching contests have been preparing the Natalia High School Band for the Region 11 UIL Marching Contest which is to be held October 16 in Hondo, TX. UIL performance time for the Natalia High School Band is set for 12:15PM. If the band receives a first division at the region contest, they will advance to the UIL Area E Marching Contest to be held October 23, in Beeville, TX.
The Natalia High School Band would like to thank the hard working people behind the scenes that make their success possible- the band boosters, parents and band-aids, Natalia ISD staff and administrators, the maintenance and transportation departments, and every Natalia Band supporter.
