Adrian Vasquez placed second in the 165lb division to qualify for State while teammate Gaylen Garcia qualified as well in the 198lb division. Vasquez and Garcia next compete in Abilene on March 26 at Taylor County Expo Center.
Vasquez benched 300lbs, squatted 585lbs, and deadlift 540lbs to total 1,425 pounds to finish 135lbs behind division champion Lukas Salaiz of San Diego.
Garcia came in with 320lbs on bench, 575 on squat, and 520 on deadlift to total 1,415 pounds.
Luis Buentello completed his season in the 220lb division with 275lb bench, 500lb squat, and 500 deadlift to total 1,275 pounds.
Dustin Cruz lifted in the super heavyweight division. Cruz benched 300lbs, squatted 505lbs, and deadlift 505lbs to finish with 1,310 pounds overall.
