Millard “Sonny” James Eichman of Devine passed away January 10, 2020 at the age of 96. He was born in Ditto on May 18, 1923 to Albert Louis and Hattie Lee (Akers) Eichman.
Sonny is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ima Jean (Jenkins) Eichman; son, Michael James Eichman; brothers, Delbert, Willard and Roland Eichman and sister, Emma Jean Despain.
Sonny is survived by his son, Jon R. Eichman and wife Marsha of Devine; daughter, Penny Pape and husband Paul of Poteet; grandchildren, Kevin, Holly, Megan and Travis; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be at Hurley Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 am, followed by interment at the Rutledge Cemetery in Poteet. Pallbearers for Sonny’s service will be Kevin Dillard, Travis Eichman, Ryan Dillard, Russell Dillard, David Campozano and Chadd Smart.
