Mickey “Mike” F. Morris

Mr. Mickey “Mike” F. Morris passed away on March 7, 2022 in Fredericksburg at the age of 84 years.
He was born Sept. 24, 1937 in Pearsall, TX to Elmer Frederick and Mickey Brown Morris. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio in 1955. Mike started his career at Holt Caterpillar and worked there for over twenty years. During that time, he turned his hobby of gun collecting into a second business. In the early 1970’s, Mike began promoting gun shows throughout Texas. The show business became so successful that he was able to quit working at Holt to focus on the shows full-time. All the while, he continued to grow his collection of guns and WWII memorabilia. After nearly thirty years of travelling the state to promote the shows, he sold them to focus on his German War Relic trade.
Mike loved hunting. He enjoyed trips to Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, and in Texas. Some of the best times were hunting doves with the family on the ranch in Devine. He also had a passion for Corvettes. Nothing was better than a Sunday drive with the top down.
Mike married Margaret “Maggie” Eastman in Henly, TX on Dec. 18, 2004.
