Michael Ray Smith, Jr. age 39 of Celina, Texas passed away August 6, 2018 in McKinney, Texas due to complications following a motorcycle accident. He was born in Hondo, Texas on April 25, 1979 to Michael Ray (Mike) and Linda (Marquis) Smith Sr.
Michael was a 1979 graduate of Alice High School in Alice, Texas. He was employed at Texas Health Resources in Arlington, Texas.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Gerald (Jerry) and Lillian (Totsie) Smith Sr. and maternal grandparents, Harvey and Eva Nell (Harrison) Marquis Sr. all from Devine, Texas. He was also preceded by his uncle, Gerald Smith Jr .
Survivors include his parents, Michael & Linda Smith Sr. of Celina, TX; brother & sister-in-law, Jeremy & Kody Smith of Howe, TX and sister, Shelby Smith of Celina, TX. Aunts & Uncles include: Donna (Yosko) & Marvin Rohde Jr. of Devine, TX, Harvey (Butch) &Drucilla Marquis Jr. of Carrollton, TX, Lisa (Marquis) & Steve Harklau of Celina, Tx, Thomas & Linda Smith of McQueeney, Tx, Pat & Belinda Smith of Alice, Tx, Jim & Jeanne Smith of Adkins, TX, Dana & Tracey Hood of Seguin, Tx, and Debbie & Chad Johnson of San Antonio, Tx. Nieces and Nephew include Makayla, Savanna and Logan Smith of Howe, TX. He is also survived by numerous cousins, friends and chosen family.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rose Hill Church of Christ in Devine, Texas.
