Medina Electric Cooperative announces new CEO

Herbert “Trey” Grebe III

Following a six-month executive search, Medina Electric Cooperative has hired a new Chief Executive Officer. Herbert “Trey” Grebe, III will begin on January 3, 2022. Grebe has more than 20 years of senior management level experience in electric cooperatives and a demonstrated history of success working with electric utilities. Grebe will become Medina EC’s ninth CEO.
“Trey’s extensive experience and expertise are perfectly suited to helping us continue our mission of providing safe, reliable electricity at the lowest possible cost to our member/owners,” said Medina EC Board President Kenneth G. White.
For the past five years, Trey served as Assistant General Manager of Wheatland Electric Cooperative in Scott City, Kansas.
Trey is a native of Taft, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas State University in San Marcos. He also is a Certified Procurement Professional and Certified Energy Manager. Trey has been actively involved with community and professional organizations throughout his career.

The current CEO, Mark Rollans, retires at the end of 2021 after more than 30 years of service to the cooperative.
