Medina County active COVID cases at 22, Health Units taking walk-ins for vaccines

PRESS RELEASE–Active COVID-19 cases in Medina County were at 22 this past Monday, June 7th. As vaccinations slow in our county, we are still seeing our vaccine data going up with 46.77% of persons age 12 and older having received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Walk-ins are welcome at the Health Unit anytime Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-11:00am and 1:00pm-5:30pm. We will see age 12-17 by appointment since we have limited Pfizer doses but will increase supply as needed. Please call our office to arrange an appointment time outside of our walk-in hours. The Health Unit now has all three coronavirus vaccines: the two-dose Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 and older; the two-dose Moderna vaccine for ages 18 and older; and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine for ages 18 and older.
The Health Unit is located at 1206 15th St in Hondo. Phone (830) 741-6191
