Master Sergeant Jerry Strubbe

Master Sergeant Jerry Strubbe age 75 of Devine, Texas passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at his residence.
MSgt Strubbe was born 26 July 1943 in Kayton, Kentucky. He graduated from Newport Public High School in May 1961. Enlisting in the United States Air Force in August 1961. Enjoy with online casino. After completing basic training, he was assigned direct duty to the 50th Tactical Fighter Wing, Hahn Air Base, Germany, later redesignated the 2184th Communications Squadron, where he performed duties as a teletype operator from Nov. 1961 til Nov. 1964.
In November 1964, MSgt Strubbe was transferred to Adair Air Force station Corvallis, Oregon, again performing duties as a teletype operator.
In August 1965, he was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. After six months as a civilian he reenlisted in the United States Air Force in February 1966 as a teletype operator.
In August 1966 he was transferred to the 1972nd Communications Squadron, DaNang Air Base Republic of Vietnam as a teletype operator. In August 1967 he was transferred to the 1926-1 Communications Detachment (AFCS) Dobbins Air Force Base Marietta, Georgia as a Communications Center Specialist. In November 1969 he was transferred to Detachment 3, 1141st United States Special Activity Squadron (HQ COMD USAF), Headquarters Allied Forces Northern Europe (HOAFNORTH) Kolsas, Norway as a Joint Communications Center Specialist. He assumed as shift Chief working with people from five countries and eight services.
In January 1974 he was transferred to the 3708 Basic Military Training Squadron (BMTS) as a Military Training Instructor (MTI). During his tenure in BMTS he held the following positions: Drill and Ceremonies NCO, Sections Supervisor and Training Superintendent. In March of 1986, he assumed the duties of First Sergeant of the 1921st ISS.
MSgt Strubbe is a graduate of the Air Training Command NCO Academy and a graduate of the Marine Command and staff Course
His decoration and awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Four Oak leaf clusters, The Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with palm, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
MSgt Strubbe is married to the former Henni Frederiksen of Aalborg, Denmark. They have a son, Christopher of Chicago and one grandson, Dameon of San Antonio.
Graveside service will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
