Mario Ramon Benavides born on June 18, 1948 in Devine, Texas passed away on April 2, 2019 at the age of 70. He is preceded in death by his mother, Tomasa Benavides; brother, Jesse “Kepe” Benavides; sisters, Selma Garza and Gloria Benavides; nephew, George Leyva Jr.; and niece, Brenda Garza Molina.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Theresa G. Benavides; sons, Marcus Benavides and wife Kelly, Michael A. Benavides and wife Shayne, and Mathew Mario Benavides and fiancé Kristen Price; sister, Diane Rakestraw and husband Butch; grandchildren, Grant and Dylan; as well as numerous extended family and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
