Lytle Police Report Sept. 27 – Oct. 3

Sept. 27
12:15 AM – Officer responded to the Pirates Express for an active alarm. The building was secure.
12:25 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 exit 133 for a report of a reckless driver. Officers patrolled the area and was unable to locate the reckless driver.
10:00 AM – Officer received a call while at the Police Department in reference to third party social media posts that occurred outside the city.
12:45 PM – Officer received a phone call while in the Police Department about a person on the highway whipping a dog. The complainant was referred to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office due to being out of the city limits of Lytle.
1:45 PM – Officer received a phone call while at the Police Department in reference to unwanted voicemails. The complainant was advised to follow the protection order.
2:45 PM – Officers responded to a 2-vehicle minor accident that occurred at exit 131 outside the city.
Sept. 28
4:26 AM – Officer responded to the 14700 Blk. of Main St. for an active alarm. Officer observed an open glass door, but no signs of anyone entering the home.
10:55 AM – Officers responded to the St. Andrews Catholic Church to provide traffic control to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
12:08 PM – Officer responded to Quicksilver automotive for a report of 3 stolen catalytic converters.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to the 15100 Blk. of Main St. to unlock a 2016 Toyota Rav4.
6:54 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 & McDonald St. for a report of a road rage incident. Officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.
7:57 PM – Officers assisted Medina County Sheriff’s Office with locating a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located at the John Lott Park Municipal Park.
9:27 PM – Officers observed 2 males yelling over a personal issue at the Lytle City Hall. Officer gave the male a courtesy ride home.
Sept. 29
9:00 AM – Officer responded to Reel Swifty Fishing for a verbal disturbance that occurred on 9/28/2021.
9:15 AM – Officer responded to the 15000 Blk. Main St. for a report of a theft that occurred within the last week. The owner reported that some documents were missing.
10:35 AM – Officer received a phone call while in the Police Department in reference to a scam phone call.
5:16 PM – Officer responded to the Lytle Apartments for a female that fell and lacerated her arm.
11:56 PM – Officer responded to the Pirates Express for an active alarm. The building was secure.
Sept. 30
1:02 AM – Officer responded to the Pirates Express for an active alarm. The building was secure.
9:00 AM – Officer responded to the Lytle Primary School with the Lytle Volunteer Fire Department for a presentation of the vehicles and equipment to the students.
10:00 AM – Officer responded the St. Andrews Catholic Church to unlock a Chrysler Town & County Van.
10:10 AM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. & Norvell St. for a report of a natural gas leak. Lytle Public Works was notified.
1:47 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for an accident.
3:50 PM – Officer responded to the CVS Pharmacy for a report of a theft of Facial Products.
4:20 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for a shoplifter. The suspect forgot to pay and returned to pay for the merchandise. No charges.
6:03 PM – Officer responded to the Bad Vibes Studio for an active alarm. The building was secure.
10:21 PM – Officer responded to the 15200 Blk. of Cottage St. for a report a minor accident.
Oct. 1
12:29 AM – Officers responded to the 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of someone attempting to enter a building. Officers patrolled the area and were unable to locate the individual.
1:54 AM – Officer responded to the Pirates Express for an active alarm. The building was secure.
4:18 AM – Officer responded to Trophy Buck for an active alarm. The building was secure.
7:02 AM – Officer responded to the 18700 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of someone entering an unlocked vehicle.
7:12 AM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for an accident.
8:15 AM – Officer responded to FM 3175 for a possible reckless driver entering the city. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
9:45 AM – Officer received a call while at the Police Department in reference to an elderly female that was possibly being abused.
9:55 AM – Officer responded to SH 132 for a civil matter in reference to a property dispute.
10:18 AM – Officer responded to the 15100 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a vehicle blocking a resident’s driveway.
10:36 AM – Officer responded to the Dollar General to assist a DPS Trooper with traffic control.
12:45 PM – Officer responded to the 15800 Blk. of CR 681 for a report of someone entering their travel trailer and stealing 3 firearms.
3:10 PM – Officer responded to the 15900 Blk. of CR 681 to check on a resident. Everything was okay.
4:50 PM – Officer responded to the IH 35 Frontage Rd. for a report of a vehicle blocking the roadway. The vehicle was moved.
6:58 PM – Officers responded to the 15100 Blk. Laredo St. for a 2 vehicle non-injury accident.
Oct. 2
12:37 AM – Officer responded to the Pirate Express for an active alarm. The building was secure.
5:18 AM – Officer responded to the Grand Somerset Apartments for noises coming from a vacant apartment.
6:27 AM – Officer responded to the Grand Somerset Apartments for a 911 hang-up. Everything was okay.
11:22 AM – Officer met with a complainant while at the Police Department in reference to a found backpack.
11:46 AM – Officer responded to the 19400 Blk. of Blume Dr. for a report of a cell phone being mailed to the wrong address in San Antonio.
3:00 PM – Officer responded to the 14300 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a vehicle striking a deer.
6:21 PM –Officer responded to the Subway for a report of the Subway possibly being robbed because the door was locked during business hours. The Subway was closed due to workforce shortage.
Oct. 3
12:22 AM – Officers responded to the HEB – C Store for an argument between a male and female.
1:02 AM – Arrest Officers conducted a traffic stop at 19876 IH 35 south Frontage Rd. that resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old male subject for possession of a controlled substance.
9:34 AM – Officer responded to the 15400 Blk. Cottage St. for a report of a 20’ bumper pull trailer that was stolen, it was also loaded with wood. The trailer was later recovered by the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office.
10:48 AM – Officer responded to the True Value for a verbal disturbance between 2 family members.
18:20 PM – Officer responded the Lytle City Hall for a report of a dog that escaped from the Lytle Animal Control.
7:52 PM – The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office recovered the trailer that was stolen from Cottage St. earlier in the morning. It was located off Highway 16.
