Lytle Police Report Sept. 23-29

Sept. 23
1:00 AM – Officers responded to Pecan Grove to assist Atascosa EMS with a person hallucinating. The subject left the residence and refused EMS.
8:02 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a possible intoxicated person at location. Officer spoke with a male subject and identified him. Officer provided a courtesy ride to his residence.
8:30 PM – Complainant talked to officer and reported phone harassment that occurred outside Lytle PD jurisdiction. Complainant was referred to Bexar Co.
9:01 PM – Officer was flagged down by complainant at 16000 Blk. of Lake Crest Dr. to report a black Camaro at the address with its hazard lights on. Complainant requested a welfare check. Officer spoke to the resident who said his daughter must have accidentally hit the button.
10:30 PM – While on patrol at Burger King, officer observed a suspicious vehicle on property. Officer initiated a field contact with a male individual who stated he was having mechanical issues with his pickup. He was then released after it was determined that there were no signs of criminal activity.
Sept. 24
4:14 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The party was identified and released. While talking to the complainant, officer observed a suspicious male in the area. The subject was detained and identified. A cloth bag with what looked like burglar tools as well as another bag was seized. Subject was released.
5:55 AM – Officer responded to Community National Bank to assist a motorist. Upon arrival, the driver was receiving assistance by a passing motorist.
9:14 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a crash that occurred on 8/15/19 or 8/16/19 on IH 35 exit 133.
9:29 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a delivery truck blocking the roadway. The driver moved the unit out of the roadway to complete the delivery.
12:47 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to her Motor Vehicle Registration sticker that was stolen from HEB Plus. The sticker was replaced with an expired MVR.
1:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to having problems with a neighbor.
1:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
2:30 PM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. and arrested a 41-year-old male subject for having an Active Lytle PD Warrant for Assault Bodily Injury – Family Violence. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
3:10 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at FM 3175 to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a grass fire.
4:57 PM – Officer responded to 17600 Blk. of FM 2790 for a report of a hospice death.
6:35 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
8:49 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real for a report of a patient that walked out of the facility. Officers made contact with the patient and provided a courtesy ride to Shepherd Rd.
11:46 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a suspicious person walking in the area the previous weekend.
11:49 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real for a report of a patient that was back at the facility from the earlier call. Officer provided a courtesy ride to Devine, TX.
Sept. 25
2:30 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer discovered the passenger had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The suspect departed prior to officer’s arrival. While conducting the investigation, officer observed a clear plastic baggie with meth inside. The contraband was seized and taken evidence. A follow up will be conducted with the victim.
8:01 AM – Officer responded to Lazy J at Star Cross Trail for a report of a suspicious vehicle running with no one around. Upon arrival, it was discovered the vehicle was an underground utility company working on transformers.
9:15 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and assisted the public with fingerprints for a handgun license.
10:25 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
11:48 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and turned in found property.
12:21 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to assist Atascosa EMS with an elderly male in a parked vehicle looking lethargic. The male was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
12:21 PM – Officer received a call from dispatch in regards to an assault that occurred on 9/19/19. The address was incorrect and discovered the location was 1.5 miles out of the city limits.
2:36 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in regards to possible illegal activity. It was discovered the location is in Bexar Co. outside the city limits.
5:17 PM – Complainant stopped by the office and talked to officer in reference to damage done to his vehicle on 9/21/19 at HEB Plus.
5:44 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a two vehicle crash.
8:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a stolen 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. Video surveillance showed an unknown person walking from the alley way behind Bealls. The unknown male took the vehicle from the parking lot. The vehicle has been entered as stolen.
8:30 PM – Officer conducted a follow up investigation on an assault case.
9:35 PM – Officer responded to 14600 S FM 2790 for a report of a suspicious vehicle. A black in color Camaro was off to the side of the road with a flashlight. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:03 PM – Field contact at FM 2790 and IH 35 NB Frontage Rd. resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old male subject for a Probation Violation Warrant out of Uvalde Co. for the Original Charge of a Traffic Offense. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:37 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of IH 35 N Access Rd. for a report of a suspicious male bicyclist in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate. Thursday
Sept. 26
8:05 AM – While on patrol at Juarez St. and San Jose St., officer observed a highline wire down across the roadway. After speaking to a resident in the area, he advised officer that a truck delivering a shed hit the line and stated it had been reported.
8:05 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a welfare check on his children’s well-being. Officer made contact with the mother of the children who stated they were fine doing well.
10:48 AM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of an alarm. Upon arrival, officer discovered AT&T was working on the phone lines. Officer spoke with the manager who stated everything was secure.
10:56 AM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of Blume Dr. to assist Atascosa EMS with an adult male unresponsive. The male was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
1:28 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. at Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a suspicious man and woman walking on the street coming from behind Beall’s with a coin machine in their hand. Officer located the couple and discovered they had found the coin machine in an abandoned bag behind the Beall’s along with several other coin machines which they left behind. Officer took the coin machines for safekeeping.
1:43 PM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of Gray St. for a report of an alarm. Officer arrived and found the residence secure, no sign of criminal activity noted.
2:15 PM – Officer was contacted by Atascosa Co. Dispatch and reported that the 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 that was stolen out of Lytle had been recovered by Elmendorf PD. The vehicle owner was notified.
11:35 PM – Traffic stop at S. Somerset St. and Mesquite St. resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old male subject for having an Outstanding Warrant out of Bexar Co. for the Original Charge of Aggravated Robbery. A 22-year-old female subject was also arrested for Possession of Marijuana < 2oz and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 < 1g. Both were transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
Sept. 27
7:49 AM – Officer responded to 19100 Blk. of N. Somerset St. for a report of a single vehicle crash into private property.
1:38 PM – Officers responded to Machinery Auctioneers for a report of a man stating he was an OSHA inspector who was on the property and refusing to leave. Officers identified the male subject who was not an OSHA inspector and agreed to leave the property.
2:45 PM – Officer responded to CR 6710 at FM 2790 N for a report of a stolen 2006 Caterpillar Forklift that was taken the night before between 5pm and 4:40 pm today. Total estimated loss $45,000.
3:20 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. and talked to complainant in regards to a possible stolen checkbook used to pass forged checks at Southside Bar.
9:43 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter detained by Loss Prevention. A 60-year-old female subject was arrested for Theft < $100. Subject was cited and released.
Sept. 28
4:26 AM – Officer responded to Brown Tackle & Gun for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
8:55 AM – While on patrol at Juarez St. and San Jose St., officer noticed a wire laying on the ground that had fallen from the top of a utility pole. Resident drove by and stated the wire was an old cable line no longer in use. Officer removed the wire from the roadway.
4:14 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
5:03 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a woman in a Suburban trying to sell jewelry for gas money. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:23 PM – Officers received a call in regards to a Hispanic male shoplifter at HEB Plus that ran out of the store to a black pickup with 3 other passengers and fled the scene. The vehicle was observed travelling on Main St. A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a 48-year-old male subject for Theft < $100.
Sept. 29
3:38 AM – Officer responded to 900 Blk. of River Bluff Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. Sheriff’s with a disturbance.
8:45 AM – Officer made contact with a man sitting in a vehicle that was parked off the road in an overgrown area on CR 6841 near CR 6843. Officer spoke to the male subject who was holding a machete, who stated he was clearing brush from his property.
12:15 PM – Officer responded to 16000 Blk. of Whitecap Dr. for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
3:26 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments to assist Atascosa EMS with an unresponsive male. The male regained consciousness and refused transport to hospital.
3:26 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:30 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of Blume Dr. a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at residence.
8:05 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 S for a report of a female with a back pack walking close to the lane of travel on IH 35. Officers drove both sides of the highway and Main St. and were unable to locate the female.
9:00 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a juvenile who had left his home. The juvenile was found and given back to the legal guardian.
