Oct. 22
1:40 AM – Officer responded to Sonic Drive-In (19300 Blk. of McDonald St.) for an alarm.
3:24 AM – Officer responded to Lytle High School/Jr. High School and assisted Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a fire alarm.
7:29 AM – Officer responded to FM 2790 E (just outside city limits) for a report of a minor accident. The driver struck a deer.
11:35 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to Medina County Annex in Devine and assisted Texas Ranger with processing a vehicle for evidence relating to a Lytle PD case.
4:46 PM – Officer responded to N. Somerset St. at Adams St. for a report of a suspicious male on a bike. All was fine.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Mini Storage for a report of a suspicious person in the area. Officer located the subject, all was fine.
8:45 PM – Atascosa Co. Deputy talked to officer in regards to a complainant who wanted to report a runaway. The unknown complainant was referred to Lytle PD. The complainant did not show at the Police Station to file the report.
Oct. 23
5:00 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB at FM 3175 and observed the stop sign partially bent but still operational. Officer advised TXDOT of the damage.
8:19 AM – Officer responded to 15600 Blk. of CR 681 for a report of an active back door residential alarm. Officer checked the residence but no signs of criminal activity noted.
7:55 PM – Officer responded to Ball Rd. at Wisdom Rd. for a report of a truck tractor blocking the roadway.
8:42 PM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for an alarm.
9:50 PM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Diaz St. to unlock a vehicle.
10:20 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB for a report of a reckless driver. Officer was unable to locate vehicle.
10:30 PM – Officer responded to Hwy 132 at Atascosa Co./Bexar Co. Line for a report of 2 suspicious pedestrians walking southbound on Hwy. 132. Officer searched the area, unable to locate anyone.
Oct. 24
1:425 AM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of a suspicious pedestrian picking up an order at the drive up window. Officer made contact with the subject, all was fine.
2:35 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
6:50 AM – Officer made contact with an individual operating a bobcat on Main St. and N. Prairie St.
8:25 AM – Officer responded to 19200 D’Hanis St. and assisted the Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a fire alarm. Upon arrival, units were cancelled.
1:15 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn and recovered a firearm that was reported stolen.
3:50 PM – Officer responded to Sonic Drive In for an alarm.
6:39 PM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of an unruly guest that was possibly damaging property. Officer spoke with a family member of guest who agreed to pick up the guest.
7:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
8:05 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a crash.
Oct. 25
3:45 AM – Officer responded to Naegelin Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a suspicious vehicle.
6:09 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Laredo St. for a welfare check on an adult male.
8:30 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Laredo St. and talked to complainant in reference to complainant’s brother rearranging her plants and landscaping timber.
3:10 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter.
4:40 PM – Officer released property to rightful owner.
6:30 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB for a report of a reckless driver.
6:53 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Elementary School to unlock a vehicle.
Oct. 26
12:30 PM — Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was last seen on 10/24/18 at the Lytle High School.
12:55 PM – Officer responded to 15900 Blk. of Lake Shore Dr. and observed a garage door partially opened. Officer made contact with resident, all was okay.
3:30 PM – Officer was flagged down by complainant and advised that her foster daughter had walked off from her while at HEB Plus. Complainant advised she was going to look for the child before filing a report. The police was later contacted by HEB Plus and the child was at the store.
6:20 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 Access Rd. for a report of a reckless driver headed towards the city. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and citations were issued.
7:34 PM – Officer responded to S. Somerset St. at Main St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:50 PM – Officer conducted a field contact on a suspicious person walking from behind the Church Pantry Building on S. Benton St.
11:03 PM – Officer conducted a field contact with a man dressed in dark clothing, wearing a backpack and riding a bike without a front headlight. The contact resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Atascosa Co. for Theft of Property > $100 < $750. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
Oct. 27
12:41 AM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a suspicious gray vehicle parked by the basketball court with people inside. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
2:15 AM – Traffic stop on IH 35 N. Frontage Rd. and FM 2790 E resulted in the discovery of four juveniles under the age of 17 in the vehicle. The 17 YO driver was cited and released after a family member came to drive the truck away. The other four juveniles were released to guardians and warned about the curfew.
9:15 AM – Officer responded to 400 Boxhouse Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a disturbance involving an 11 YO. Officer secured the scene until Atascosa Co. Deputy arrived.
10:59 AM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. at Adams St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
2:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a possible theft taking place. Suspect split up and abandoned a cart with over $600 worth of merchandise when they spotted staff watching them. Two of the subjects departed and a third was in a family restroom. Investigation determined the female had stolen a set of measuring spoons valued at $9.97 and used them to cook illegal narcotics and shoot-up while in the restroom. A 30-year-old female subject was cited and released for Theft < $100 and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All 3 subjects were issued a criminal trespass notice.
3:20 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn to unlock a vehicle.
9:42 PM – While on patrol, officer noticed a car parked in the far back parking area of the Best Western Plus.
9:53 PM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of Rocky’s Circle for a report of suspicious white van parked in front of the resident’s house.
Oct. 28
12:52 AM – Complainant called to report a vehicle burglary at the HEB Plus. Dispatched tried to call the complainant back but there was no answer. The complainant did not call again.
1:39 AM – Officer responded to Sonic Drive In for a report of an alarm.
3:23 AM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 N for a report of a one vehicle crash.
5:05 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a man sleeping in his car at the drive thru. Officer made contact with the driver and performed an SFST. Subject had been drinking but insufficient clues to form probable cause to arrest for DWI. Subject was released to a family member.
10:03 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store and talked to an employee and reported a customer had a dog taken from their vehicle. The customer departed prior to officer’s arrival. He told the employee that perhaps he left the dog somewhere else.
12:49 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
3:05 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. to assist Atascosa Co. EMS with a patient.
3:28 PM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of N. Benton St. and observed what appeared to be a controlled burn. Officer made contact with the homeowner and advised her of the city ordinance and she agreed to extinguish the fire.
10:25 PM – While on patrol at Best Western Plus officer observed a vehicle parked in the farthest parking spot behind the building. The vehicle’s windows were fogged up. Officer made contact with both parties and advised both to find a better place for their future romantic encounters.
