Lytle Police Report May 13-19

May 13
7:55 AM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. at Cottage St. for a report of a suspicious person standing across from the Primary School. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:05 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a welfare check on an individual asleep inside the vehicle. Officer arrived and made contact with the individual, all was okay.
8:30 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
4:32 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to being followed by several unknown vehicles on Old Frio City Rd. The complainant was referred to Bexar Co. due to jurisdiction.
11:45 PM – Officer responded to Creek St. at IH 35 S. Frontage Rd. for a report of a suspicious person riding a bicycle wearing a backpack. Officer arrived and made contact with the individual who was identified and was an employee of the Valero and was returning home after working a late shift.
May 14
6:45 AM – Officer responded CR 6850 at CR 6851 and talked to complainant in reference to a Waste Management trash truck leaving trash on the roadway at the intersection.
11:18 AM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. to unlock a vehicle.
4:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to complainant in regards to damage to her vehicle. Complainant believes that incident occurred at HEB Plus. Damage was discovered on 5/3/19.
10:21 PM – Officer responded to HEB Gas Station for a report of a civil matter.
May 15
7:40 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Family Practice for a report of someone beating on the front door of the office. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a female was outside the office and had seen employees inside and wanted in for an appointment. Officer explained to her that the office would open in 10 minutes and requested that she stop beating on the door.
11:30 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to assist Animal Control with a snake under a tire.
1:55 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of white vehicle parked next to his gate next to the hotel. Officer arrived and spoke with a male who stated he was working the oilfield and would park there to sleep. After further communication, the male agreed to discontinue camping at location.
2:05 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Mini Storage for a report of a burglary of a building. An unknown person(s) forced entry by cutting the lock and stole tools and electronics for a total value of $6,000. Offense occurred between 5/14/19 and 5/15/19.
3:39 PM – Officer was notified by Atascosa Co. Sheriff Office that the 2003 Ford F250 that was stolen in March was recovered by the Laredo Police Department.
9:00 PM – Officers responded to Twin Liquors P-Lot for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers observed a 2017 Silverado, unsecured, with both set of keys on the dash. Vehicle keys were removed for safe keeping and a note was left to contact the Police Dept.
May 16
4:10 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a woman walking on Main St. towards Natalia. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
10:48 AM – Officer responded to 18900 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a welfare check on a 17 YO female suffering from mental health issues walking down the street. Officer made contact and after speaking with her she agreed to go to the SA Hospital for an evaluation.
2:58 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a two vehicle crash.
7:20 PM – Officer responded to NAPA for a report of a business alarm. Officer discovered an employee had accidentally set off the alarm.
7:25 PM – Officer responded to City Hall for a report of a vehicle blocking the drive through. Officer made contact with the owner of the vehicle and agreed to move the truck.
8:50 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to her missing 14 YO male juvenile. Officer made contact with the juvenile who agreed to meet at the John Lott Park and then was released to his mother.
10:40 PM – Traffic stop resulted in the discovery of the front seat passenger suffering from a heroin overdose. EMS was contacted. The victim was transported to Southwest General Hospital. The driver was cited for traffic violations and her vehicle was impounded due to her suspended license status.
11:25 PM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 at Bexar Co. Line for a report of a stopped vehicle. Officer located the vehicle stopped in the middle of the off-ramp near the south-side frontage road. The driver had been drinking. Bexar Co. arrived and the driver and vehicle were released to them.
May 17
3:07 AM – Security check at the Lytle High School resulted in the discovery of an unlocked door. Officer checked the school and found no signs of criminal activity. Officer secured the door on the way out.
6:39 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 S to assist Bexar Co. with a stolen silver Nissan Titan possibly southbound on IH 35 S. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:30 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Adams St. for a report damage to the building’s front window due to a rock hitting it.
10:51 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 for a report of a road rage incident involving a black car throwing beer cans out the window at other vehicles. The vehicle continued south on IH 35.
11:49 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of the same black vehicle now at the HEB C-Store. The vehicle was again reported as throwing beer cans at vehicles. While en route, officer was advised the vehicle was headed south on Hwy. 132. Officer patrolled the area, unable to locate. Medina Co. was notified.
12:15 PM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints.
4:47 PM – Officers responded to 19500 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle at residence. Upon arrival, the vehicle had departed.
5:13 PM – Officer responded IH 35 at FM 3175 for a report of a down stop sign which was run over by a commercial vehicle. Officer checked the area for the vehicle, unable to locate. Lytle Public Works was contacted and placed a temporary stop sign. TXDOT was notified.
5:23 PM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to a commercial vehicle that had a tire blowout which caused the tire tread to strike complainant’s vehicle causing damage to his driver side mirror.
5:32 PM – Officer talked to complainant who wanted a welfare check done on her son who had just left with the biological father. Officer made contact with the child, all was fine.
6:53 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a crash that had occurred in a parking lot at the Longhorn Steak House in San Antonio.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Office St. for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
11:20 PM – While patrolling the High School, officer observed a man on a bike in the CR 681 parking area. Officer conducted a field contact with the male who was identified. No signs of criminal activity noted and the male subject was released.
May 18
1:17 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a road rage incident involving a car with two women being followed and harassed by a man driving a white Dodge who followed them until they drove to HEB C-Store. Officer searched the area for the vehicle, unable to locate. Officer escorted the women to their house on Wisdom Rd.
2:42 AM – While patrolling the area at the 19300 Blk. of McDonald St, officer located an unlocked back door. Officer cleared the building and found no signs of criminal activity. Officer was able to lock the door on the way out.
9:30 AM – Complainant stopped by the police station and talked to officers in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
10:30 AM – Officers responded to FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. Deputies with a warrant service for an adult male and an adult female in the Forest Oaks Subdivision.
1:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
4:15 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. to unlock a vehicle.
5:40 PM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. to unlock a vehicle.
6:20 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Laredo St. and talked to complainant in regards to complainant’s missing daughter. She was located approximately an hour later with a family member.
9:00 PM – Service all at Dollar General resulted in the arrest of a 61-year-old male subject for Public Intoxication. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:42 PM – Officer stood by on alert as the Bexar Co. Sheriff’s Office conducted a pursuit that lasted for approximately 30 minutes. The pursuit got right up to our city limits on 3 different occasions but never entered the city. Officers were informed the suspect was eventually stopped on Macdona LaCoste Rd.
May 19
5:08 AM – Officer responded to Sonic Drive-In for a report of an alarm.
7:15 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of an unknown male taking pictures of people in and outside of store. Officer spoke with the HEB Plus manager who stated the complainant stated the male was taking pictures of his wife and got into a verbal altercation with the subject.
8:00 AM – Officer responded to 18200 Blk. of Ball Rd. and talked to complainant in regards to a dog that was left in a cage by the Lytle Animal Control. Officer made contact with Lytle Animal Control Officer for removal.
8:24 AM – Officer responded to 18500 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. to assist Atascosa EMS with a female patient having chest pains.
10:50 AM – Officers responded to 19500 Blk. of Florence St. for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
11:45 AM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a suspicious male subject attempting to break in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officer recognized the male whom locked his keys in the vehicle. All was okay.
1:32 PM – Officers responded to 100 Blk. of Meadowbrook Dr. to follow-up on an open case.
2:29 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB to assist Medina Co. who was on the lookout for a reckless driver at vehicles. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:20 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
5:55 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
7:40 PM – Officer responded to Auto and Truck Supply for a report of an alarm.
