Lytle Police Report June 8-14

June 8
1:00 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a disturbance between two vehicles with one threatening the other with a gun. Upon arrival, the complainant had left the scene and the other vehicle in question did not have a weapon as reported.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
3:20 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a mental health warrant. Officers transported one male to Laurel Ridge.
7:30 PM – Officers responded to Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
7:33 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Gate St. for a report of a 911 hang up. Officers arrived and spoke with the homeowner who stated a child got the phone and called 911.
9:42 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Main St. and talked to officer in reference to a male teen that had thrown numerous items into complainant’s front yard from the Dollar General parking lot. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:44 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 131 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:32 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with an electrical fire.
June 9
12:47 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
1:03 AM – Officer responded to Lytle High School for a report of a red Mustang doing donuts in the school parking lot. Officer spoke with the caller who stated the Mustang left prior to officer’s arrival. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
2:44 AM – Office responded to IH 35 Access Rd. NB at FM 2790 and assisted the public with a courtesy ride.
8:53 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with an electrical fire in the main power box.
9:58 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
1:30 PM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Main St. for a report of homeless man setting up camp in the wooded area next to the railroad tracks. The male was later located at the Lytle Vet Office. Officer spoke to the male who stated he needed to be homeless for a week.
6:19 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of Bank St. for a report of a home broken into. Residence had a broken window and it appeared that it might have been entered. Officer found two bottles outside the broken window but there were no signs of criminal activity inside the house.
10:05 PM – Officer attempted to stop a speeding Ford F150 but lost sight of it on IH 35 N. Officer came upon the crashed F150 laying on its right side with 4 juveniles trapped inside. Officer helped the juveniles get out of the F150 and requested Bexar Co. SO assistance.
June 10
5:00 AM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of a disturbance between the manager and a former employee whose coffee order was not to her liking. The manager requested a Criminal Trespass Warning be issued, which it was.
10:32 AM – Officer responded to Cabinet Creations for a report of a hit & run.
2:16 PM – Officer responded to 15600 Blk. of CR 681 to assist Atascosa EMS with an unresponsive elderly female.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nail Salon for a welfare check on a male outside the business next to the fence with his t-shirt around his neck. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:42 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nail Salon for a report of a male having a possible seizure. Upon arrival, the male stated he had just returned to the area from Austin and stated he was released from the hospital. The male refused any treatment from Atascosa EMS and refused a courtesy ride to a location of his choice.
7:10 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Norvell St. to assist Lytle Animal Control with a report of a deceased dog in the ditch. Upon arrival, the dog was not hurt and was chasing cars. Lytle Animal Control Officer picked up the dog.
9:00 PM – Officers responded to Tots to Teens for a report of a male walking in the roadway. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:20 PM – Report of a fawn in the backyard of 19500 Blk. of S. Somerset St.
10:22 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious male. Officer made contact with the individual and everything was okay.
11:15 PM – While on patrol at Lytle Crossings, officer observed 12-15 vehicles occupied by minors/juveniles in the parking lot. As officer drove through the parking lot, the group disbursed. No signs of criminal activity.
11:35 PM – While on patrol at Lytle High School, officer located an open door. The building was cleared and all was okay. The key holder made the scene and secured the building.
June 11
12:35 AM – While on patrol and making a round back into the city, officer observed a suspicious red pickup parked at the Solis Welding. Officer made a U-turn to investigate and the vehicle drove off into Twin Lakes. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
1:11 AM – Officer responded to 63000 Blk. of Juarez St. for a report of lights in the field south of Juarez St. Medina Co. was also notified. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:55 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious male in the area. Officer was unable to locate.
9:27 AM – Officers responded to Burger King for a report of a male requesting an officer. An emergency detention was required.
11:30 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to assist Lytle Animal Control with a cat stuck under the hood of a vehicle.
9:26 PM – Officer responded to Lytle High School for a report of a vehicle doing “donuts” in the parking lot. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:40 PM – Officer conducted a field contact at Lytle Community Health Center with a “blacked out” vehicle leaving the rear of the building. It turned out to be the cleaning crew.
June 12
1:07 AM – While on patrol at 19700 Blk. of IH 35 N, officer found a gate wide open. Officer checked the business and found the building to be secure.
8:34 AM – Officer responded to 14300 Blk. of FM 2790 S for a report of a crash.
12:50 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a Chevy Suburban that had damage to the rear passenger door. Unknown suspect keyed the passenger side door causing approximately $100 worth of damage.
1:20 PM – Officers responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a civil matter. Upon arrival, officers determined it to be a welfare check. Everything was okay.
2:45 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a possible theft. Officer was canceled upon arrival.
4:38 PM – Officer responded to Lytle-Somerset St. at Lazy J St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
5:00 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to being scammed over the phone. $250 was taken from complainant’s bank account.
5:20 PM – Officers responded to 18300 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a civil matter/dispute.
8:06 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Short St. and talked to complainant in regards to injuries her 13 YO son sustained from his father’s alleged abuse. Incident occurred several years ago.
June 13
1:38 PM – Officer responded to McDonald St. at Main St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
2:10 PM – Officer responded to 15600 Blk. of CR 681 for a report of a welfare check. Officer made contact with the homeowner who stated all was okay.
2:58 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in reference to his 1983 blue Chevy truck that was stolen from the parking lot. The complainant did not know the license plate number nor the VIN number and was advised to get the information in order to put the vehicle in the system and report as stolen.
3:35 PM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Carwash for a report of a welfare check. Officer made contact with the person in question and identified him. It was determined he was not fit to drive and officer advised to have someone pick him up.
7:47 PM – While on patrol at HEB Plus, officer noticed a parking lot clearance marker that was hanging over the Lytle-Somerset St. exit by Taco Bell that had broken loose on one end and was dangling over the roadway causing a traffic hazard. Officer spoke with HEB manager who stated he would take care of it.
9:57 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle at a vacant residence. Officer spoke with the sole occupant who stated shed’s hiding from her boyfriend.
10:24 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of males walking from the apartments with backpacks then getting into waiting vehicle. Residents requested extra patrols.
June 14
5:11 AM – Officer responded to Bealls for a report of an activated alarm. Officer checked the building and found no signs of criminal activity.
10:44 AM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center to assist Atascosa EMS with a complainant having chest pains.
11:28 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of shopping carts hitting parked vehicles and causing damage.
2:04 PM – Officer responded to CR 6850 and CR 6851 to assist Medina Co. who requested a Spanish speaking officer.
3:11 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
9:21 PM – Officer responded to Exxon to unlock a vehicle.
