Devine Police Report June 5-11

June 5
2:50 AM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of Bowman Ave. in reference to a male subject seen knocking on caller’s door, stating he was getting followed. The male subject was released, stated he was going to a friend’s house on King Ave.
11:11 AM – Complainant on N. Windy Knoll Dr. reported two motorcycles popping wheelies and driving up on the grass area of the park. One was red, and one was black and yellow.
12:40 PM – Report of a gravel truck traveling IH-35 NB with the mechanical arms malfunctioning.
2:17 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of Malone Dr. was upset with neighbors in the area and a worker on location not wearing a mask.
2:28 PM – Complainant at Walmart reported a vehicle left with unpaid merchandise. The vehicle was located in the 700 block of CR 7711.
3:26 PM – Two male subjects were cited for theft between $750-$2,500 and released.
4:55 PM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of Hondo Ave. in reference to a female subject and a male subject who were seen walking around. Officer patrolled the area; unable to locate.
5:03 PM – Complainant reported a white van driven by a Hispanic male following their young nephew a week ago.
June 6
12:43 AM – Officer assisted Natalia PD in the 400 block of 4th St. with a disturbance involving two families in a physical altercation.
9:33 AM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 NB in reference to a black SUV refusing to let vehicles pass; unable to locate.
10:18 AM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of S. Transportation Dr. in reference to graffiti on a boat at the old Brown dealership. Graffiti has been there for a long period of time.
2:45 PM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of Pilgrim in reference to a male subject on property whom the owner wanted to leave. The male subject was issued a criminal trespass warning from the trailer park manager.
June 7
1:49 AM – Officers assisted Atascosa County with a death notification in the 500 block of Hayden Ave.
6:37 PM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. in reference to a female possibly consuming alcohol.
7:04 PM – A female subject in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. blew over the legal limit and was jailed.
10:41 PM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of S. Davis Ave. in reference to a male subject knocking on doors saying people were after him. Subject transported by EMS to hospital because he stated he couldn’t breathe.
10:45 PM – Reference to disturbance in the county.
June 8
8:55 AM – Complainant on Mt. Vernon reported a vehicle did donuts in the parking lot.
11:59 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Fullerton Dr. reported several dogs barking in the area and requested the area be checked. All appeared okay.
June 9
11:11 AM – A juvenile male in the 300 block of Hayden Ave. left home. Officer located the juvenile male at a local business. Foster parent contacted and subject returned home.
11:45 AM – Vehicle broken down in roadway in the 200 block of S. Teel Dr. Vehicle relocated.
1:15 PM – Accident occurred at Hwy. 132 exit.
10:25 PM – Officer assisted Zavala County with a bailout in the median across from Brown Chevrolet. Vehicle was released to AJ Towing out of Zavala County.
11:43 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Rossville Dr. observed two subjects jump fence and run into a field. Unable to locate.
June 10
12:18 PM – Traffic lights at S. Teel Dr. flashing. TxDot notified.
7:09 PM – Report of a physical disturbance involving four people in the 300 block of W. Colonial Pkwy.
7:09 PM – Report of two vehicles traveling from Pearsall through Devine involved in a “repo” attempt that ended on CR 676.
8:05 PM – Officer dispatched to Jamison Dr. in reference to a disturbance among family members who left prior to arrival.
8:05 PM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Stevens in reference to burning trash. Fire put out.
8:24 PM – Officer dispatched to the 900 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a white Chevy pickup with “PST” on door all over roadway. Officer located truck; no violations observed while in City limits.
June 11
8:45 AM – Complainant reported a strong smell coming from a back yard in the 1100 block of Hondo Ave. Officer made contact with owner, who advised a freezer full of meat went out.
4:50 PM – A juvenile male left the 300 block of Hayden Ave. wearing a bright green shirt, light blue jeans, and blue and white shoes. He was located in the 10000 block of SW Loop 410 at 2:55 AM.
