Lytle Police Report June 7-13

June 7
2:12 AM – Traffic stop for speeding at 14900 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of male subject for Driving While Intoxicated. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and the vehicle was impounded.
8:25 AM – Officers responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 Frontage Rd. for a welfare check on a subject walking
in the area. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
9:25 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 131 for a welfare check on a subject walking south on IH 35. The subject was the same as the previous welfare check call. Officers located the subject who was okay.
2:17 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park (15000 Blk. of Adams St.) for a welfare check on a female who was sitting at the park acting strange. Officers located the female and made contact. Officers determined everything was okay.
3:05 PM – Officer responded to the Lytle Public Library (19300 Blk. of FM 2790) to assist a stranded motorist with a dead battery. Officer was unable to jumpstart the vehicle with a battery pack or jumper cables.
8:00 PM – Officers responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a family verbal dispute between a great-grandmother and a great-granddaughter. It has been an ongoing dispute between the two. The great-granddaughter left the residence for the night.
June 8
1:30 AM – Officers responded to Lake St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle driving slowly. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
8:30 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home (15300 Blk. of Oak St.) for a report of money missing form a resident. The complainant reported that $150 was taken from his lock box.
9:53 AM – Officers responded to Adams St. at N Pecan St. for a report of a suspicious dark-colored utility van circling the area. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the driver who stated he was looking for a house to do carpet work on.
10:30 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus (19300 Blk. of McDonald St.) to unlock a vehicle.
1:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to nine unauthorized transactions that were made with her credit card totaling $808.96. All transactions were items purchased online and out of the area.
1:14 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Newton St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle circling the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
2:11 PM – Officer spoke with property manager at Lytle Apartments (14700 Blk. of Main St.) in regard to an unknown male driving a Tan GMC Yukon who was dumping trash into the complex dumpster. The male is not a resident and was told not to dump trash in the dumpster.
6:51 PM – Officers responded to John Lott Park (19100 Blk. of N Somerset St.) for a report of suspicious activity. Two vehicles were observed exchanging things. Upon arrival, no suspicious activity was observed.
9:21 PM – While patrolling at Cottage St. and FM 2790 N, officers observed suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle occupied by construction workers removing forms from the slab.
9:35 PM – Officers responded to Exxon (15000 Blk. of Main St.) after receiving a phone call in regard to suspicious males inside the Exxon harassing the female clerk. Upon arrival, the female stated she was fine and did not need help.
June 9
11:55 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus (19800 Blk. of IH 35 N) for a report of an unruly customer. The subject departed prior to officer’s arrival.
4:15 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 for a report of a suspicious female walking on the roadway. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:00 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus (19300 Blk. of McDonald St.) to assist the public with a cat underneath the frame of a vehicle. The cat was safely removed.
11:50 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a physical disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with one half of the party who advised everything was okay. The other half of the party departed prior to officers’ arrival.
June 10
12:24 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store (19500 Blk. of McDonald St.) for a report of a welfare check on a female who was crying inside the store. Officer made contact with the female who stated she was in need of some help with gas to get to San Antonio. Officer provided the female with $20 in gas so she could reach her residence.
1:23 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at FM 3175 to assist a stranded motorist by providing tools to
the driver so he could fix his 18 wheeler.
2:15 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store (19500 Blk. of McDonald St.) to assist a stranded motorist with some wire to tie up a part form his vehicle so he could tow it home.
8:15 AM – Officer responded to Community National Bank (20100 Blk. of IH 35) for a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officer made contact with the male and provided a courtesy ride.
8:53 AM – Officer responded to 20000 Blk. of IH 35 ford a report of a stolen vehicle. The motorist stated his vehicle was stolen out of San Antonio and was spotted at the Taqueria Jalisco. When the motorist arrived, the vehicle was gone. The male was referred to Bexar Co.
9:13 AM – Officer responded to Dollar General (14800 Blk. of Main St.) for a report of an alarm.
9:50 AM – Officers responded to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church (14800 Blk. of Main St.) to assist with traffic control for a funeral for pedestrians crossing the street.
10:50 AM – Officers provided funeral escort from St. Andrew’s Church to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
12:56 PM – Officer responded to AutoZone (19200 Blk. of McDonald St.) to unlock a vehicle.
1:28 PM – Officer responded to Nutrition on Main (15000 Blk. of Main St.) to unlock a vehicle.
2:55 PM – Officer talked to complainant who reported a theft of an air compressor at the 15200 Blk. of Main St. on 5/29/21 and 5/30/21. Total estimated loss $100
4:28 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ (19700 Blk. of IH 35 S) for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:55 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 and IH 35 N Frontage Rd. and provided a courtesy rode to an elderly pedestrian.
10:56 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus (19800 Blk. of IH 35 N) for a report of an elderly man requesting medical assistance. Officer arrived and made contact with the male who had a urinary catheter bag that Atascosa Co. EMS was able to adjust for him.
June 11
1:35 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 near exit 131 for a report of a privately owned school bus broken down blocking traffic. Atascosa Co. Deputy assisted by pushing the bus onto the improved shoulder with his patrol truck.
3:25 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 near Exit 131 to assist the stranded bus driver from the previous call by providing a courtesy ride to McDonalds and then Best Western.
11:50 AM – Officers responded to Hurley Funeral Home (14800 Blk. of Main St.) to assist with a funeral escort to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
3:14 PM – Officers responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a family verbal dispute.
3:35 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Benton St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
3:47 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a civil stand by for removal of personal property.
5:26 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Railroad St. to unlock a vehicle.
6:55 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S for a report of a reckless 18-wheeler. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
June 12
5:36 AM – Officer spoke with complainant in reference to her 17 YO son who assaulted her 19 YO son in San Antonio and fled in complainant’s truck. Complainant stated that her 1 YO was on Lytle/Somerset St based on her phone’s GPS ping and wanted a civil stand by when she went to recover her truck and phone.
1:55 PM – Officers responded to 14300 Blk. of Railroad St. to assist Atascosa EMS with an unresponsive 37 YO female.
2:30 PM – Officers arrived at 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. and arrested a male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Lytle for Deadly Conduct – Firearm in reference to an open case. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
8:06 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Main St. for a report that complainant’s neighbor who was taking his truck and burning out on Railroad St. and Main St. in front of his children and threatening the complainant. Officer attempted to contact the neighbor but he did not answer the door.
10:30 PM – Office responded to 14900 Blk. of StarCross Trail for a report of a suspicious vehicle driving past caller’s house several times and then parking in front of the house. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:58 PM – Officer responded to 300 Blk. of Pinn Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a woman who reported an unknown person in her backyard. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:55 PM – Officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the 19000 Blk. of Main St. The suspect fled when officer activated his emergency light and siren. After a brief pursuit, the suspect ran into a ditch on Railroad St. and Davis St. Michel Reyes (25) was identified and transported to Atascosa Co. Jail after being medically clear at Methodist South Hospital. The vehicle was impounded. The front seat passenger was released.
June 13
1:50 PM – Officers responded to Lytle State Bank (14600 Blk. of FM 2790) for a report of water coming from inside the bank. Upon arrival, it was discovered the water was coming from the water faucet located at the main entrance. Bank personnel were contacted and shut off the water.
2:13 PM – Officer responded to 20000 Blk. of Hyde Park for a report of an active alarm. Upon arrival, the home was secured.
3:46 PM – Officers responded to Dollar General (14900 Blk. of Main St.) for a report of a 76 YO female that was confused and stating she was thrown out of her apartment. Atascosa Co. EMS checked the elderly female and stated she was in good health. The female was given a courtesy ride back to her residence.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to 20000 Blk. of Hyde Park for a report of an alarm. Officer found the residence to be secure.
7:5 PM – Officer responded to Chevron (15200 Blk. of Main St.) to unlock a vehicle.
7:25 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus (19800 Blk. of IH 35 N) for a report of a very nervous female who attempted to rent a room but left without paying. The clerk asked for a welfare check of the female who left walking north on the IH 35 N Frontage Rd. Officer searched the area including HEB area but was unable to locate.
8:13 PM – Officer responded to N Somerset St. at Adams St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer located the vehicle and detained the passenger who stated the vehicle was having mechanical issues resulting in the reckless driving. The vehicle was impounded due to the unsafe mechanical issues, no insurance and unlicensed operator.
9:50 PM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank (14600 Blk. of FM 2790 E) for a report of people shooting fireworks into the trees. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
